Light, caffeine and alcohol: what to control by timing

- After a shift, wear dark glasses on the way home so morning light does not wake the brain up for good.
- For flights, shift your schedule in advance by 1 hour a day toward the new time zone, and catch morning light once you arrive.

Common mistakes
