Longevity Lab is an independent science publication about evidence-based longevity. We explain the research on aging, nutrition, supplements, sleep, physical activity and biomarkers — what actually qualifies as a Biomarker of aging — in plain language, with no hype, no mysticism, and no promises to “cure everything”. For the wider picture of why we age and what actually sets the pace, our companion site Smart Longevity covers the same ground in Longevity — the science of aging more slowly.
Our principle is zero hype, real science: we report what studies actually show, and we say plainly where the data is still thin.
What we publish
- News — new studies and longevity trends, each linked to the primary source.
- Reviews — evidence-based breakdowns of supplements, Laboratory tests, methods and devices, with no advertising.
- Guides — step-by-step material on how to put longevity science into practice.
Our principles
- Claims rest on sources. We support health claims with references to peer-reviewed publications. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses come first, then randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
- Transparency. Every article carries an author, a publication date and an update date, and ends with its source list.
- We keep articles current. We revise material as new data appears.
- Fact is separated from opinion. Where the science is unsettled, we say so directly.
- No treatment advertising. We do not sell supplements, we do not promote drugs, and we do not give individual medical prescriptions.
How we work with sources
We rely on papers published in peer-reviewed journals and on data from established health organizations. A single study is never presented as settled truth: we look at the whole body of evidence and at how strong that evidence is. Source links are given openly so you can check them yourself. The same body of evidence sits behind the calculators, tests and explainers gathered in the Smart Longevity Knowledge Base, which we treat as the practical companion to our articles.
How our material is checked
Articles are prepared by the project team on the basis of peer-reviewed publications. We are straight with our readers: at this point we have no staff medical reviewer, so we do not display a “medically reviewed” badge. That badge will appear only when a real practicing clinician with verifiable credentials reviews the material. Until then, the authority of what we publish rests on the quality of our sources and on our transparency about them.
What we do not do
We do not diagnose, we do not prescribe treatment, and we do not replace a consultation with a clinician. The information on this site is educational. If you want to make sense of your own blood work, the companion guide How to read your labs and manage your longevity walks through the common biomarkers without turning them into a diagnosis.
