1. Who we are
Longevity Lab is an independent publication about the science of longevity. We publish articles, a glossary and reference guides. We sell nothing, we host no user accounts, and we collect no payments.
2. Eligibility
The site is intended for adults aged 18 or over. It is not designed for, or directed at, children.
3. This is not medical advice
Everything on this site is educational information about published research. It is not medical advice, it creates no doctor–patient relationship, and it is no substitute for a qualified clinician who knows your history. Our Disclaimer sets this out in full and forms part of these Terms.
4. What you may do with our content
You may read the site, share links to it, and quote from it — including in academic work, in journalism and in answers generated by an AI system — provided that the quotation is a reasonable extract rather than a substitute for the article, that it is not altered in a way that changes its meaning, and that it is attributed to Longevity Lab with a link to the page it came from. Those same terms are published in machine-readable form at /llms.txt.
5. What you may not do
- Republish an article in full, or a substantial part of the site, without our written permission.
- Present our material as your own, or strip the attribution from it.
- Remove, obscure or alter any copyright notice, byline, source list or disclaimer.
- Use the site or its content in a way that implies we endorse a product, a service, a treatment or a clinic.
- Attempt to breach, probe or overload the site, or interfere with its availability for other readers.
- Scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, or in defiance of our robots.txt.
6. Our intellectual property
The text, structure, illustrations, design and code of this site are owned by Longevity Lab or used under licence, and are protected by copyright. The name and logo are our marks. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any of it to you. Our position on copyright complaints is set out in the Copyright and DMCA Policy.
7. Third-party links and tools
We link to scientific databases, health organizations and calculators, including tools on our companion site. Those destinations are controlled by other people or run separately from this publication, and we do not warrant their content, their availability or their privacy practices. Following an external link is your decision and their terms apply once you arrive. Our commercial position on those links is disclosed in the Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure.
8. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to be accurate and we cite our sources, but to the fullest extent permitted by law we make no warranty that the content is complete, current, error-free or fit for any particular purpose, and none that the site will be uninterrupted or free of defects.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Longevity Lab and the people who write and run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, nor for any loss of profit, data, health outcome or opportunity, arising out of your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Indemnity
If your misuse of this site causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you agree to indemnify us for the reasonable costs and damages that result.
11. Your consumer rights
If you use the site as a consumer, nothing in these Terms removes or limits the rights that the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you. Where a term here conflicts with that law, that law wins and the rest of these Terms stays in force.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms as the site changes. The current version always sits on this page with its date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of the country in which the publisher of Longevity Lab is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and subject always to the consumer rights described above.
14. Severability and entire agreement
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer, these Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of this site.
