Why 90 to 120 Minutes, and Not More

The most practical finding is the shape of the dose-response curve. It is not a straight line: the benefit climbed quickly from zero to about two hours a week, then flattened into a plateau. Caveats: This Is Observation, Not an Experiment

Like most research at this scale, this is an observational study: it shows a consistent association, not proof of cause. People who train with weights regularly may differ in other habits too.
